Human Resources Generalist

Reflector Entertainment is a totally new breed of studio committed to creating next-generation content for audiences around the globe. Reflector’s mission is to create Storyworlds: transmedia universes built from the ground up, releasing new and exciting narratives along a consistent schedule and across a wide variety of platforms. The platforms vary per Storyworld and can be PC/consoles/mobile video games, live immersive experiences, comic books, novels, television series, films, podcasts, etc. Our team is quickly growing, and we are currently looking for AAA talent that will drive our ambitious, large scale projects. The Generalist HR consultant will act as a key person within the HR team to support them in the various HR activities. He/she will be called upon to interact constantly and create connections with the team and managers in order to contribute to the success of our teams. To do this, you will be supported by the Human Resources Manager to ensure optimal development of the Human Resources function at Reflector. You will be part of a growing team and innovative projects that will allow you to exercise your creativity to attract talent. The Generalist HR Consultant will report to the Human Resources Manager and will work in collaboration with the Human Resources Department of Groupe Lune Rouge as well as with the various divisions of Reflector.

Responsibilities

  • Talent management

  • Establish recruitment and networking strategies to attract the best candidates and identify the best talent;
  • Work with the different teams to determine recruitment priorities;
  • Advise, create connection and coach teams to ensure they make the right hiring decisions;
  • Manage the recruitment process for the entire cycle;
  • Ensure fair pay and benefits conditions across the company;
  • Provide information on workforce planning and succession planning, and offer talent market advice using reliable data, and provide progress reports to the HR department.

  • Advisory role

  • Respond to employees questions regarding HR policies, working conditions or any question work related;
  • Provide the necessary support to the HR team and managers during the employee contribution assessment process;
  • Perform data analysis, identify critical situations and suggest an appropriate course of action;
  • Evaluate and monitor training programs to ensure that training objectives are met;
  • Identify training needs and create or acquire a professional development program;
  • Participate in HR projects and act as an ambassador for HR initiatives;
  • Oversee the connection with internal services, such as payroll, human resources and IT;
  • Ensure the management of work permit applications;
  • Coordinate the departure and return of short and long-term absences (unpaid leave, paternity and maternity leave, disabilities).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations, or equivalent;
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of relevant human resources experience;
  • Work experience in the video game and / or entertainment industry;
  • Member of the Order (CRHA or CRIA) will be an asset;
  • Significant expertise in the various fields of human resources management;
  • Initiative and notable sense of autonomy;
  • Great ability to communicate, establish and maintain harmonious and effective interpersonal relationships with all;
  • Recognized for its adaptability;
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at once;
  • Able how to organize, plan and negotiate;
  • Demonstrates creativity, initiative and innovation in the proposed solutions;
  • Able to be discreet;
  • Excellent skills with the Office Suite, especially with Excel software;
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (oral and written).
